Our focus is on early detection of skin cancers using digital dermoscopy for accurate diagnosis and serial digital follow up and long term monitoring.When detected early and treated by surgical excision, with adequate clear margins,skin cancers and melanoma in particular have a good prognosis.
Melanoma can occur anywhere on the skin, even on the soles of the feet, or under the finger or toenails.If undetected and left untreated melanoma can spread to deeper layers in the skin and eventually to other organs.

To be able to detect melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers in the early stages when surgical excision is curative, we need to use dermoscopy also known as skin microscopy to magnify the skin and the suspicious lesion.
